Results are in from House District 39 Republican Primary. Challenger Jake Highfill edged out incumbent Erik Helland.

Today residents across the country head to the polls for primary elections.

In Johnston, residents are being asked to vote for a Republican candidate for the House District 39 ticket.

Incumbent faces in this challenge, the victor will take on Democrat candidate Kelsey Clark in November.
