The future of Johnston is looking bright, thanks to the incredible young people working to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders like Brian Zhang, who are making a positive impact in and around Johnston.
Brian Zhang, a graduate of Johnston High School, was recognized for his academic excellence as a 2022 National Merit Scholarship recipient, a prestigious award given to students who demonstrate outstanding academic performance, leadership and community involvement. His dedication to learning and strong work ethic earned him this distinction, highlighting his commitment to academic achievement and personal growth.
Now studying Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at The University of Iowa, Brian is on a pre-dental track with aspirations to pursue a career in dentistry. His focus on these rigorous fields reflects his determination to build a strong foundation for his future profession. With his passion for helping others, Brian is poised to make a meaningful impact in the Johnston community and beyond.
