We're looking back at the top news - both local and national - that you missed while stuffing your face with turkey or waiting in line for the best deals on Black Friday.
Black Friday Nightmare - While hundreds of people swarmed into the shops at Jordan Creek Town Center, one teen was stabbed during a fight outside the mall. KCCI News Channel 8 reported the 17-year-old was stabbed several times. Doctors told the TV station the teen's wounds did not appear to be life-threatening.
Craigslist Scare - A Des Moines woman told KCCI News Channel 8 this weekend, that posting an ad on Craigslist to find a new home for two of her bulldogs was the worst decision of her life. Trace McKenzie said she tried to find a nice home for her two pets when a move left her with little room. After finding a home for the bulldogs, she said she was cut out of their lives. In January, the new owner emailed to say the dogs got out. An Animal Rescue League official told the TV station of horror stories involving dog fighting rings or deaths from Craigslist ads involving animals.
Jolly Holiday Vandalism - The Des Moines Register reported Sunday that Jolly Holiday Lights was vandalized in the early morning hours. According to the Register report, the park's security guard reportedly observed a maroon Pontiac driving in the park and exiting through a closed gate. There are currently no suspects.
