Two women, including one from Johnston, have started a new events consulting business, according to the Des Moines Register.

Kyra Jacobson along with Taylor Thomsen of Des Moines have started White Willow Events. The business will showcase vendors and help coordinate engagement proposals, weddings, baby and bridal showers, graduations, and public and private corporate events, the article said.

An open house will be held at the Tuscany Event Center, 3901 121st St. in Urbandale.
