Johnston Police Respond to 10 Mailboxes Damaged Along 62nd Street

The Johnston Police Department investigated a number of calls from March 8 to March 13. Take a look at the reports.

Johnston Police officers responded to several calls of vandals damaging property over the last week.

On March 8, officers took reports of damage to about 10 mailboxes along Northwest 62nd Avenue. The damage appeared to be from a blunt object similar to a baseball bat.

On March 10, a 44-year-old man reported that the side of his home in the 9000 block of Telford Circle was struck with eggs.

March 13
An employee at Youth Homes of Mid America reported a runaway, who was later returned by a family member.

Christopher Rejba, 24, was charged with operating while intoxicated - first offense. Rejba was also cited for no insurance and driving an unsafe vehicle.

March 12
Officers took a report of a dog bite in the 4800 block of Rose Circle. The dog was at its residence at the time.

March 11
A 47-year-old woman reported she left her phone at . When she returned to retrieve it, the phone had been stolen off the table.

James Weaver, 20, and a 17-year-old male were cited for underage possession of alcohol after officers responded to the 4600 block of Northwest 62nd Avenue on a report of a loud party.

March 10
Employees atΒ , 5800 Northglenn Drive, reported the theft of cigarettes.

Officers responded to a call of domestic dispute between family members in the 9500 block of Aster Lane.

Two juveniles were charged with underage possession of alcohol in the area of Northwest 62nd Avenue and Four Pines Street.

Christopher Drew, 24, was arrested for public intoxication after officers found him walking in the ditch by Interstate 80/35.

March 9
Charles Walker, 35, was charged with driving while barred after a traffic stop in the 5700 block of Northwest Meredith Drive.

An 80-year-old man reported a scam when he received a call from a man claiming to be from Publishers Clearing House and wanting the victim to send money.
