All students in the Johnston school district will return to class on Thursday, Aug. 15, so here's a reminder of upcoming open houses, plus school start and dismissal times.

6:30-7:15 p.m. Summit grade 6 open house/Meet the teacher @ SMS
6-8 p.m. Johnston Middle School orientation @ JMS auditorium

Wednesday, Aug. 14
2-2:30 p.m. New family orientation @ all elementaries
2:30-3:30 p.m. Meet the teacher @ all elementaries
5:30-8:30 p.m. JHS back to school night @ Johnston High School

Tuesday, Aug. 27
6 p.m. Elementary Parent Night, grades K-2-4 @ all elementaries

Thursday, Aug. 29
6 p.m. Elementary Parent Night, grades 1-3-5 @ all elementaries
