"We've pretty much climbed every day," Jackson Crouse, 12, said. "We learned to tie ropes and did a few teamwork games."
One teamwork activity included creating a photo while climbing the boulder, Jackson said. Each student made a line and the lines had to connect but students weren't allowed to talk to each other.
Jackson, who took part in another rock-climbing class at the beginning of summer, said he's really enjoyed this week's activities.
"I just wanted to climb more," he said. "And it helps for those that have a fear of height. I had a little fear, but now I can just let go at the top, before I climbed down a little."
Ashley McGovern, 11, chose to take the class out of curiosity.
"My neighbors have a little set in their yard that I like," she said. "But it's not very big, I wanted something bigger."
Ashley's favorite part of the climb is letting go at the top and "flying" down.
