The Johnston Dragon Varsity volleyball team opened the 2012 season with a victory against Des Moines North on Tuesday. Johnston won the match 25-15, 25-5, 25-6. Johnston, who plays in the CIML western division, is coached by Rick Brook for the 19th season. The team heads to Pella Christian tonight for a game at 7:15 p.m.
