PHOTOS: Lawson First-Graders Feast For Thanksgiving

First-grade students dressed as Pilgrims and Indians for the annual Thanksgiving feast Tuesday.

The Pilgrims and Indians gathered for a feast once again on Tuesday.

The first-grade classes at Lawson Elementary participated in the annual Thanksgiving feast.

"I really like having a meal with my friends," first-grader Grace Kinnick said.

First-grade student Reghan Kilcollins said she enjoyed the cornbread the most, while Grace liked the popcorn and crackers.

"I'm thankful for my family," Reghan said.

The girls said they learned about the pilgrims and Indians before the annual meal.

Students recited a song of thanks before indulging in their meal, which consisted of cornbread, popcorn, homemade butter, pumpkin pudding, cranberries and juice.

Each first-grade class was tasked with bringing one item of the meal.
