Prescription Take Back Day
The Johnston Police Department host a Prescription Take Back event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at city hall. The event is for residents to drop off any unused, expired or unwanted prescriptions without question.
Help with Social Security
The Johnston Public Library hosts Helping Married Couples File for Maximum Lifetime Benefits at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Married couples often file incorrectly for Social Security which can end up costing tens of thousands of dollars over the course of retirement. If you are over 55 and have not yet filed, this one hour presentation can mean thousands of dollars to you and your spouse. Registration is required. Family Movie
The Johnston Public Library hosts a screening of Big Miracle at 2 p.m. Sunday for families. Head to the library for a fun movie and tasty treats!
Golden Circle College Fair
The Golden Circle College Fair is the largest college fair in Iowa with approximately 150 colleges and universities from within the state of Iowa and across the United States attending. The fair begins at 12:30 a.m. Sunday at Hy-Vee Hall, 730 3rd Street.
