The Johnston Farmers Market is more than fresh produce. Vendors at the weekly market also sell jewelry, jellies, barbecue, artwork and sweets.

The event is sponsored by the Johnston Lions Club and is held every Tuesday, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the same location, the Johnston City Hall parking lot.

The parking lot of Johnston City Hall transformed Tuesday to a center where adults, children, and dogs from Johnston and the surrounding cities went to shop and enjoy treats.

The Johnston Lions Club sponsors the market, and its proceeds provide trees for the Residential Tree Program.
