Sign Up For Johnston Trails 5K Run: From the Mayor's Desk

Sign up now for the second annual Mayor’s Run for the Trails 5K. 

Join your friends and neighbors for this upcoming event starting at 8 a.m. on Sept. 7 at Johnston High School. The run is being organized by the Johnston Running Club and will take place on the recreational trails along 62nd Avenue and the Beaver Creek Natural Resource Area. 

It’s a non-competitive run and you’re certainly welcome to walk it if you want.   It’s just a fun, easy way to show your support for Johnston’s recreational trails. 

The proceeds from the run will be donated by the Johnston Running Club to the city’s Park and Trail Improvements Fund to help offset the costs of maintaining and improving Johnston’s trails. 

You’ll love the participant T-shirts and post-race refreshments. Better yet, our amazing sponsors have donated hundreds of dollars of door prizes that we’ll be giving right away after the run.
