Take Down Hunger With the Johnston Wrestling Team

Take Down Hunger
The Johnston wrestling team will collect donations to benefit the local Des Moines Area Religious Council's Food Pantry and Clothes Closet through the . The collection will take place during the junior varsity and varsity wrestling meets at beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Suggested donations include canned fruit, shelf-stable fruit juices, spaghetti sauce, toothpaste, laundry soap, new youth socks and undergarments.
JCE Meeting
The Johnston Community Education Resource Council meets at 5:30 p.m. at the .
Library events
The hosts Babies & Books at 11 a.m. The program, for babies six months to 24 months includes books, rhymes, music and more. Sundown Storytime starts at 6:45 p.m. for children two to 6 years old.
Chamber Luncheon
The presents its monthly luncheon at 11:30 a.m. This month the lunch is being hosted at Camp Dodge Museum with Col. Ben Corell speaking. The cost is $10. Visit the Chamber website for more information.
