Thieves Make Off With Golf Clubs, Vandalize Power Car and Bikes: Johnston Police Blotter

The Johnston Police Department investigated a number of calls from March 25 to March 27. Take a look at the reports.

Thieves did a number on a local family's backyard shed on March 27.

A 28-year-old woman reported someone had broken into the shed in the 5700 block of Northwest 92nd Street at around midnight.

The victim reported someone had removed two bikes, which were later found down the block and severely damaged by what officers reported appeared to be a hammer.

The suspects also removed the battery and ripped the wires from a Powerwheel Escalade.

A set of golf clubs were also taken but not recovered.

March 27
A 38-year-old woman reported that her identity had been stolen. She reported that someone uses her social security number to open an E-Trade account.

A 45-year-old woman reported that someone had taken a chain saw from an outdoor shed behind The Johnston Barber Shop. No forced entry was reported.

Son Phan, 31, was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated in the 5400 block of Northwest 86th Street. Phan was also cited for insufficient number of headlights.
