Thunder May Accompany Dinner In Johnston, Other Metro Cities Tonight
Spring storms maybe starting in Iowa this evening.

Tuesday evening commute in Johnston and surrounding areas could be rain-filled.
The is reporting a 90 percent chance of rain this afternoon, followed by thunderstorms tonight.
"We are getting into the spring season. This is when we start seeing thunderstorms," said David Sheets, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Davenport.
Sheets said severe storms are not expected, but there is a low probability of hail and wind gusts up to 40 miles per hour. Further west in Southwest Iowa, Nebraska and Western Missouri, there is a greater probability of severe weather.
