Cindy Skeie is often told that she has a unique
perspective on nature. From brilliant colors of flowers, to comical bugs or
even the complex world of fungus, macro photography allows her to discover the
intricate beauty that exists everywhere in nature.

Her love affair with
macro photography started when she took up gardening. While tending to her
flowers, she noticed that the closer she got the more fascinating they
became.  “My macro lens opened me up to a
whole new world I wasn‘t able to capture with my own eyes.”

Cindy has traveled
to Central America many times, discovering the spectacular macro world that
exists in the rain forests.  But she’s
still surprised at what she continues to find in her own backyard.  “I'm amazed every time I discover the beauty
of nature in unexpected places.”
However, what she finds most rewarding is when someone thanks her for
showing them how to look at their gardens or nature from a different viewpoint.

“I hope that my images give you a deeper appreciation of just how extraordinary
nature is…especially when you take the time to get so close to it.”
