Urbandale's Kingery Family is Proud Winner of Royce White-Signed Basketball

Patch teamed up with the Walnut Creek YMCA to raffle an autographed ball during the Capital City League's Tournament.

The Patch team came out on top at the YMCA Capital City Basketball League tournament last month, and the Kingerys of Urbandale were also winners.

"Absolutely," Ana Kingery, 10 said when asked if she was excited to have the ball signed by the former Iowa State Cyclone, who has since been drafted by the Houston Rockets.

While the family likes both Iowa and Iowa State, they'll alway cherish the ball.

Patch teamed up with the YMCA to raise money for the Y Partners program, formerly known as Partners with Youth.

Money raised for the Partners program goes directly to a fund to help disadvantaged youth do something productive with their lives. Among other things, the program provides Y memberships for kids and families who otherwise couldn't afford them, and scholarships are provided for youth-sports camps and other activities.

Patch sold raffle tickets for $1 each to win the signed basketball, with all money raised going to the Y.
