[Video] Artist Showcase - Pamela S. Douglas

Don't miss this exciting exhibit in June! The 'Meaning of Color' exhibit by pastel artist Pamela S. Douglas will be on display in the main gallery.

In June, the Ankeny Art Center is presenting the 'Meaning of Color' exhibit by pastel artist Pamela S. Douglas in the main gallery. The opening reception and show is June 5 from 5-7pm and her exhibit will be on display from June 3 to July 30, 2014.

Pam's subject matter includes familiar containers, vessels and organic objects that have a specific orientation in space. These objects are structured by the impact of color and evolve from a method of layering color to build variations of depth and patterning that produce both tension and harmony. Through Pam's continued investigation of the psychological use of color, you will certainly enjoy how she explores the intensity of colors in this remarkable series of 18 paintings. Don't miss this exciting exhibit and the opportunity to meet the artist!

All exhibits, shows and receptions at the Ankeny Art Center are free and open to the public.
