Dash Cam
A video from officer McClain's patrol car shows the officer approaching the theater shortly before 10 p.m. Friday.

McClain got out of the car to talk to a small group of teenage boys. One is later identified as the 15-year-old involved in an altercation with another teen in the movie theater's lobby.

Managers at the theater called 911 to report a fight between the two 15-year-old boys. One boy allegedly threatened the managers as they broke up the fight and he refused to leave the theater.

McClain is then seen entering the theater. At this point the patrol car's camera only shows the parking lot, but McClain's body microphone still works.Β He can be heard asking a manager which teenager was involved in the fight.

When he asks the teen to "come here," the teen swears.Β Within seconds the sounds of an altercation begin. McClain can be heard asking the teen to calm down.

At one point McClain is heard telling the teen he would use a Taser on him.

Camera Phone Video
The audio from the dash-cam ends and a witness' cell phone video then begins.

On this clip the altercation has already begun and McClain can be seen on top of the juvenile.

McClain can be seen forgoing the use of his right hand, which was broken in the initial struggle with the Urbandale teen.

A manager from the theater walks near the altercation holding McClain's Taser, which was lost during the struggle.

A second officer, Jeremy Christensen, then arrives on the scene and helps McClain roll the juvenile onto his stomach.

While the audio can't be deciphered, Johnston Police officials said the officers repeatedly asked the boy to calm down.

Several times during the video the autistic appears to ask to "go home" and says he would like his mother.

Two teenage boys can be seen in the right corner talking on a cell phone.

At this point a Polk County Sheriff's deputy arrives at the theater to assist.

The Urbandale teen is calm and agrees to be led outside.Β However the arrival of a fourth officer upsets the juvenile, who resumes thrashing.

Once the teen is on the ground, a Polk County deputy uses his Taser on the youth.

In the seconds following the jolt, officers are able to restrain the teen and handcuff him.Β He then calmly, with the assistance of officers, walks out the door.Β
