The Johnston Public Library will close at 4 p.m. Wednesday and remained closed Thursday and Friday. The Library will reopen again on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. All schools in the Johnston School District will be closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The Hy-Vee grocery store in Johnston will be open, while Dahl's Foods will be closed. If you're in the mood for a movie, Wynnsong theaters are open all day. On Thanksgiving evening, the metro turns the lights back on to shoppers looking to get an early Christmas deal. Many retail stores will open Thanksgiving evening to get a jump on Black Friday sales.
