When Does Daylight Saving Time End in 2012?
The big change will be here before you know it.

Those 7:30 a.m. commutes will get darker before they get lighter. Officially, Daylight Savings Time doesn’t end for a couple more days – officially at 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4.
Remember, you’ll “fall back” and set your clocks back one hour. Many electronic devices automatically adjust when Daylight Savings Time begins or ends.
That extra hour gives you a chance to get out in Urbandale next week and have some fun. You could rest up for:
- Language Lovers Unite at the Johnston Public Library at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
- Clean your yard in time for the city's annual Fall Brush Clean-Up on Nov. 8-10 when residents can drop off branches at the Public Works facility.
When you change your clocks in the fall and spring, it’s also a good time to change smoke detector batteries and check to make sure device are in working order.
Arizona, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, U.S. Virgin Islands and American Samoa do not observe Daylight Savings Time.
