• Wet Weather Leads to Uncertain Harvest – 95.1 The Bull (951thebull.com) — A Knoxville farmer says persistent rain and drizzle have left fields too wet to begin harvest before at least October 1, raising worries about soybean quality and yield. He describes mold and dockage concerns if conditions don't improve, echoing what many south-central Iowa farmers are watching in their own fields.
• Flag Retirement Ceremony Happening at Graceland Cemetery October 11th (kniakrls.com) — Knoxville residents can drop off worn American flags at Pierschbacher in town ahead of a countywide retirement ceremony at Graceland Cemetery on October 11. The late-afternoon event will feature formal flag retirements, a braille flag presentation, and recognition for proper flag display, and organizers invite families to bring chairs and participate together.
