• Marion may add new fire station, relocate another to improve response times (kcrg.com) — Marion officials are considering relocating Fire Station Three and building a fourth station on the city's northeast side to cut emergency response times, especially for older and disabled residents. Using new data and recent accreditation findings, the fire department says the changes would ease pressure on Station Two, improve firefighter safety, and may be added to the city's Capital Improvement Program without new bonds yet planned.
