The Cedar Rapids Arthritis Walk was held Saturday, May 4 at Veteran's Memorial Stadium. Despite the cold and rain a good time was had by all.
The Arthritis Walk is the signature fundraising event in the fight against arthritis. It is a celebration of year-round movement. Money raised supports the research, programs and services of the Arthritis Foundation. There are 564,000 people in Iowa who suffer with some form of arthritis; many of them are children under the age of 18.
If you were unable to attend this year’s Arthritis Walk and would like to make a donation, please contact Rosemary Schwartz, Arthritis Foundation Special Events Director at (319) 363-4403 or rschwartz@arthritis.org

About the Arthritis Foundation
Striking one in every five adults and 300,000 children, arthritis is the nation’s leading cause of disability. The Arthritis Foundation (www.arthritis.org) is committed to raising awareness and reducing the impact of this serious disease, which can severely damage joints and rob people of living life to its fullest. The Foundation funds life-changing research that has restored mobility in patients for more than six decades; fights for healthcare policies that improve the lives of the millions who live with arthritis; and partners with families to provide empowering programs and information.
