Expert Advice for People Touched by Parkinson’s Disease and Health Professionals
WHAT: Under-recognized Nonmotor Symptoms of Parkinson's Disease is the fourth in a series of free, interactive online and phone seminars, or PD ExpertBriefings, hosted by the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation (PDF). It will focus on the lesser known, nonmotor symptoms of Parkinson’s – including fatigue, sweating, crying and vision problems – and ways people living with the disease can improve their quality of life. Health care professionals may apply for continuing education credits.

WHY: As many as one million Americans live with Parkinson's disease. Though Parkinson’s is often characterized by problems with movement, people living with the disease also experience “invisible” or nonmotor symptoms. These lesser known symptoms can be especially challenging to cope with for people living with Parkinson’s, their care partners and their doctors. This PD ExpertBriefing will help participants identify these symptoms, how to differentiate which symptoms are caused by Parkinson’s disease and which are caused by medications and discover the treatments available to ease such symptoms.
WHEN: Tuesday, March 12, 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM ET.
