Delicious Ideas from Culver's Garden Center

Lori from Culver's Garden Center and Greenhouse shares some delicious Easter appetizer ideas from the garden center's selection of gourmet foods.

Hi, I’m Lori from Culver's Garden Center and Greenhouse.  Although it may be a bit too early to be shopping for our spring fleur, it’s a perfect time to come into our shop and peruse all the great spring treasures we have been unpacking.  We've been discovering pretty much something for everyone.  A whole collection of colorful rakes, hoes and spades, all made especially for the little ones that like to “help” in the garden, to gorgeous scarfs and jewelry for us ladies.  Not to mention all the great gifts that we carry for that special occasion (or for yourself), such as statuary, soaps, lotions, candles, clocks, and of course, beautiful flowers, you name it,

We are proud to introduce a couple of new lines to our food section this year.  If you are looking for a new taste treat for an easy Easter appetizer, then you will want to check these out.

The Braswell’s line is preserved in authentic European drinkware that can be reused when you have polished off your treat. They make some great jellies, jams, butters and preserves like their Select Raspberry Peach Champagne Preserves or Balsamic Sweet Onion Jam, both are great slathered over a chunk of cream cheese and served with crackers.   They also have a line of dressings like Vidalia Onion and Peppercorn that comes in it’s own little reusable carafe, the gift that just keeps on giving.  They have a variety of dressing recipes online so that you can reuse your carafe over and over again.  How’s that for recycling?

Another new line is Artful Food by Bella Cucina.  Bella Cucina carries a variety of of sauces, antipasti’s, pesto’s, spreads and savory salts. They also have an awesome pizza dough mix that makes the most delicious crust.  My favorite concoction is mixing up some Bella Cucina Passata Al Pomodoro Rosso, a tomato juice/sauce, with a little of this and a little of that, and make a Bella’s Bloody Mary.  Topped it all off with a rimmed glass of Peperoncin and Pimenton Savory Salt and a marinated pickle and you have great little pick-me-up before Easter dinner.  If you’re a fan of bloody marys, like I am, then you're sure to love it!

Here’s hoping to see you soon at Culver's Garden Center and Greenhouse!
