Iowa Finance Authority increases first time home buyer grant

The Iowa Finance Authority has good news for first-time home buyers. It’s First Home Plus grant has been increased $1,000 through Dec. 31.

The grant is now $3,500 for downpayment assistance. The grant could expand into the New Year depending upon fund availability. The grant needs to be used in conjunction with the Iowa Finance Authority’s FirstHome program mortgage.
