Keeping it Real (Estate) with Deanna - How accurate are online real estate sites

While shopping can be a lot of fun online, it's not the best place to go to find your home's worth.

The Web sites that offer to provide this information do not have all the information needed to give you a clear price.  It's best to talk to a real estate professional and have he/she come to your home to do what is called a comparative market analysis.  

A CMA looks at actual homes in your neighborhood that are similar to yours that are not only on the market, but have gone sale pending, and have sold within the last 60 days.  A Realtor can also make adjustments for square footage, improvements, and special features.

Best of all, a Realtor can provide you with information on what the market is doing now and advise you to what would need to be done to get the best value for your home.
