Keeping it Real (Estate) with Deanna - If you know something is going to be a problem, fix it.

Yes, buyers can replace things, but rest assured they rather have you do it. Fixing problems before listing will save headaches.

Sellers know
their home inside and out, and most of the time they know if something is going
to be an issue with potential buyers.

Still have a
blue or pink toilet or tub? Yep, that’s no longer in, and buyers are not going
to want to switch it out. If you go the extra mile and renovated before
listing, it’s going to save a lot of aggravation – you’re not going to hear the
same negative feedback from Realtors and their clients over and over on your
bathroom. Another example, are mechanicals. Buyers are looking to get into a
home where they won’t have to spend a lot of money off the bat, especially
first time home buyers. If you have a water heater that is nearing its life,
you’re better off putting in a new one before listing. You can advertise it as
such. Buyers will appreciate the peace of mind that they won’t have to fix it
right away.
