As a canvass volunteer for HD67 Candidate, Mark Seidl, I'm finding a number of voters who are apathetic regarding the upcoming November election.
I just felt the need to say that regardless of your political affiliation, if you have registered to vote; vote. It only takes a moment or two to Google the candidates or visit the Linn County Elections page to find out who is running for office.
It is our responsibility as voters to engage in the process and to be informed as to the choices put before us.

I've heard the excuses that, "I'm not political"; "I don't vote"; "I don't know who's running"; and more.
When someone comes to your door to introduce you to a candidate, please take the time to listen. You might be surprised to find that the candidate being represented at your door is just the person YOU need to place in office.

I acknowledge that everyone has a different set of criteria by which they vote. That having been said, no ONE issue should disqualify the candidate. Look at the entire package of positions being offered and choose the candidate who is best for the job.
I'm volunteering my time for Mark Seidl because I believe in the vision he has for Linn County and for the State of Iowa.
Please join me in becoming informed and then vote.
