Where are You Supposed to Store Propane Tanks? Keeping it Real (Estate) with Deanna

Recently an agent in my office shared a homeowner quiz at a meeting.  One of the questions was: Where should you store your propane tanks?  The possible answers a) in the basement b) in the garbage c) nowhere (it stays outside) and d) in the garage.

Year around the best place to keep propane tanks is outside. It goes without saying that they can be highly combustible and thus need to be outside. You’ll even notice this at the stores that sell them. 

That said, I’ve been noticing when showing houses that some people are storing that second tank in a shed or garage. 

To be on the safe side, get it outside.
