Even with today's rainfall, Fireworks & Fireflies is still expected to happen this evening.

A tent has been set up to cover the sound and stage, and the band will be ready to go at 6 p.m.!

The overflow grass parking near the Lowe Park Arts & Environment Center, will not be available. The hard surface lot near the building is reserved for accessible parking and sponsors. Parking is available at any of the other lots shown on this map and are within walking distance of the music, food vendors and restrooms. These lots are also an option if you wish to watch the fireworks from your vehicle.

While not ideal conditions, please dress for the weather and join us for a fun night at Lowe Park.

The City of Marion is pleased to announce the return of Fireworks & Fireflies in 2021. This free event will take place at the Klopfenstein Amphitheater at Lowe Park, 4500 N. 10th Street, Marion, on Friday, Sept. 3.

Music will be provided by The Mixtape and six food vendors will be on-site including O's Grill, Hy-Vee, Taylor Concessions, Ice Cream Island, Almost Famous Popcorn and Kona Ice. The event begins at 6 p.m. with the fireworks (launching from the PeeWee ball diamonds at Lowe Park) at dusk.

Organizers are pleased to welcome Hanna Plumbing & Heating, Inc. as the event’s presenting sponsor.

Attendees should bring their own lawn chairs and blankets for seating. Coolers are permitted. Additional details, parking locations and a list of Frequently Asked Questions can be found at www.cityofmarion.org/fireworks.
