Cooler Temperatures in Marion Today, but Get Ready for a Hot Weekend

Only chances of thunderstorms are expected all week.

It may not be raining in Marion, but at least it isn't as hot as it was on Wednesday.

Temperatures hovered around 100 degrees yesterday afternoon, and although lightning could be seen in the distance, no thunderstorms materialized.

Thursday's temperatures should be a little cooler. The temperature was around 77 degrees at 10 a.m., and the high for the afternoon is 90 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. With only 74 percent humidity and a relatively low heat index, Thursday should be relatively pleasant for those with outdoor plans.

There is no rain projected throughout the weekend, and just a slight chance for thunderstorms on Sunday night.

High temperatures during the weekend will hover in the mid 90s.
