2013 HDSA Cedar Rapids Hoop-A-Thon

Are you interested in shooting hoops, winning great prizes, or tasty food? Then the 2013 Cedar Rapids Hoop-A-Thon is for YOU! The Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA) Iowa Chapter is holding its annual fundraiser at the Helen G. Nassif YMCA in Cedar Rapids.

Hoop-A-Thon participants stand at the free-throw line (or closer for younger kids) and attempt to make as many shots as they can in 5 minutes. In order to participate, shooters collect donations or pledges per shot made. Attendees can also take part in a silent auction with items donated by local businesses. We will also have concessions at the event. All funds raised go to benefit research and care for those with Huntington disease, an incurable progressively degenerative brain disease.

For more information or to register and fundraise, please contact Sean Thompson at sean-thompson@uiowa.edu or (319) 384-4094.
