"Damsels and Monsters" art exhibit

Up-and-coming Eastern Iowa Artists raising money for poverty stricken families
at their Oct. 25th art exhibit “Damsels and Monsters”.

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA - Artists Zach Kulish and Jonah Lorsung of the Cedar Rapids area have announced an engaging art exhibit, taking place at The Shores Event Center in Cedar Rapids, benefitting Waypoint Services, providing shelter and support for women and families in crisis. http://www.waypointservices.org/

The title of the exhibit, “Damsels and Monsters” is brought into focus through intertwining the themes of inner beauty, society, and concepts of social status. Art enthusiasts and supporters of women and families will want to put Oct. 25th 5pm - 9pm on their calendars.

Proceeds of Kulish and Lorsung’s exhibit will be shared with Waypoint Services, an organization that provides shelter and support for women and their families. Both local artists focus on the portrayal of women and their struggles, making an organization like Waypoint, a perfect recipient for this event.

Shores Event Center, is located 700 16th Street NE, Suite L100, Cedar Rapids, IA. The first 50 people to enter the exhibit will receive a limited edition signed and numbered print from both artists, and are expected to go fast.

At the show the title piece, “Damsels and Monsters” a collaboration painting done by Zach and Jonah will be sold to the highest bidder and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Waypoint.
