Meet Me at the Market is a weekly event that brings people
together to enjoy physical activity, socialize with friends and shop at NewBo City Market and other area businesses.
On 9/12, Meet Me at the Market (MMM) will feature an Introduction to Cedar Rapids Bike Lanes bike ride and explanation of the new Cedar Rapids bike lanes. The ride is 2.5 miles long and begins at NewBo City Market, at the MMM
check-in table. Narrated rides through nearby bike lanes will be leaving at 5:45 pm, 6:00 pm and 6:15 pm. The rides and presentations will address the responsibilities of motorists and cyclists on the city streets, the meanings of the bicycle signs, and types of bicycle facilities that will be appearing on the Cedar Rapids streets. Helmets are required on the ride. The ride is co-hosted by the Cedar Rapids Bicycle Advisory Committee.
