Lately, I've had clients comment on homes that were said to be "squeaky clean" and were anything but.
Often times they read about how well kept a home is in the listing comments before the viewing, and maybe it was at one time, but if they go through and it isn't, it leaves a doubly bad impression as they were expecting something much different.
Buyers dislike dirt of any kind. A clean home shows care and that is what they want with a home they are considering to purchase.
Now clean means different things to different people. To some it means the dishes are in the sink and not on the table. To others it may mean that the laundry is in a basket and not on the floor. However, to buyers a truly clean home means everything is in its place - beds are made, dishes are neatly stacked, the refrigerator and stove sparkle, there's no sign of dust anywhere. It's the kind of clean that makes you wonder if anyone really does live there.
Have a real estate question? Send it my way. I would love to hear from you.
Thanks!
