• Nevada men receive Life Saving Award after saving coworker (kcci.com) — Three Mid-States Companies employees from Nevada were honored with the city's first Life Saving Awards in over three years after using improvised first-aid to stop a coworker's severe arm bleeding until responders arrived. Recognized at Monday's Nevada City Council meeting, they acted quickly when a steel mishap nearly hit a major artery and LifeFlight couldn't reach town due to weather.
   

• Iowa grooming case dismissed for 'lack of proof' of sexual intent (amestrib.com) — A Nevada business owner, formerly of Cutting Edge Painting, has had a grooming charge dismissed after a Delaware County judge ruled prosecutors couldn't prove intent for unlawful sexual conduct. The case, built on messages with an undercover officer posing as a teen, ends without trial but still affects a Nevada employer and its more than 30 workers.
