• Tune into the Past with Ottumwa Radio: 1976 Ottumwa Murder (ottumwaradio.com) — Nearly 50 years later, Ottumwa is still living with unanswered questions about the brutal 1976 killing of laundromat owner John Robert Hill on East Main Street. Investigators from Ottumwa Police and state agencies gathered unusual evidence, including words written in blood, but no one was ever charged, and the case remains one of Iowa's most haunting cold cases.
• LCCC men's soccer to face rival SWIC after tie with Indian Hills (thetelegraph.com) — A recent men's soccer showdown in Ottumwa saw Indian Hills and Lewis and Clark battle to a 1–1 draw, with both teams ranked in the NJCAA national poll. The tightly contested match at Indian Hills' home field highlighted strong defense and set up Lewis and Clark's upcoming rivalry game, while giving Ottumwa fans a look at top-level junior college soccer.
