Abandoned Cars, Lost Bikes and More Up for Auction Saturday
A treasure trove of items Urbandale officials have either seized or found that went unclaimed will be sold at auction Saturday morning.

The Urbandale Police Department's public auction begins at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Public Works Complex, 9401 Hickman Road in Urbandale. You must produce a current driver's license to receive a bidder's number.
Items sold typically include 30 plus abandoned vehicles, plus a variety of bicycles, electronic items, sports equipment, tools and other miscellaneous items. Potential buyers are allowed to view the vehicles beginning at 8 a.m. on the Saturday of the auction. The bicycles and other small items can be viewed at this time also.

All vehicles purchased are sold as is and must be removed from City property no later than 8 a.m. on the 2nd Monday following the auction. Full payment for items purchased must be received by one hour after the conclusion of the sale. A list of the vehicles to be sold is available at the Urbandale Police Department, 3740 86th St., before the auction and also available on this website.
