• Serious crash closes I-35/I-80 in Clive; drivers urged to avoid area (kcci.com) — A serious Friday night crash has closed westbound I-80 and southbound I-35 between Hickman Road and University Avenue, with Urbandale Fire assisting Clive police and state troopers at the scene. Drivers from Urbandale are urged to avoid the area, expect delays, and use alternate routes like Northwest 114th or 128th Street or I-235 while investigators work and construction keeps the interstate closed into Saturday morning.
