CREDO SuperPAC to Protest Rep. Steve King at an Americans For Prosperity Rally in Urbandale on Friday
CREDO SuperPAC will be protesting Rep. Steve King’s appearance at a rally sponsored by Americans for Prosperity in Urbandale, this Friday, at 1:45 pm, as part of their campaign to defeat Rep. King in the 2012 Election. Rep. King is being targeted by the CREDO SuperPAC’s “Take Down the Tea Party Ten” campaign, because of his openly bigoted and anti-woman views, and his radical Tea Party politics. Other local groups including Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement, Progress Iowa, the South Central Iowa Federation of Labor and United Steelworkers Local 310 will also be protesting Rep. King at the rally on Friday.
It’s quite fitting for Tea Party extremist Rep. King to appear at an Americans for Prosperity (AFP) rally. AFP is a right-wing political organization run by the infamous oil baron Koch Brothers, who have spent tens of millions of dollars lobbying Congress against legislation to hold Wall Street accountable, and regulate global warming pollution.

CREDO SuperPAC is not your average superpac. Instead of spending millions on TV advertising, CREDO SuperPAC has hired four full time organizers, opened an office in Ames, and is partnering with local constituents in Rep. King’s district to mobilize voters and spread the word about the radical policies championed by Rep. King.
CREDO is running similar campaigns in 9 other Congressional Districts of Tea Party Republican House members, including Rep. Allen West (FL-22), Sean Duffy (WI-07), Rep. Chip Cravaack (MN-08), Rep. Frank Guinta (NH-01), Joe Walsh (IL-08), Rep. Dan Lungren (CA-03) and Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick (PA-08).
