Auto Parts Supplier to Build Warehouse, Assembly Facility in Urbandale
DENSO International is seeking state development money to help establish the site.

Automotive parts supplier DENSO International America Inc. plans to establish an assembly and warehousing facility in Urbandale, according to the Des Moines Business Record, which cites documents filed with the Iowa Economic Development Authority.
The company's wholly owned U.S. subsidiary, DENSO Manufacturing Michigan Inc., is seeking economic development incentive money from the state to lease and equip a 36,000-square-foot facility.
DENSO plans to localize assembly and warehousing of cooling modules used in the construction, agriculture and electric power industries, the newspaper said.
The company is seeking an investment tax credit of about $34,500 for the $1.2 million project. The project would create seven jobs that must pay at least $23.12 per hour to qualify for the incentive; the IEDA board meets on Friday.
The facility would begin operations in late January 2013.
