Barns, Bison & Bonnets includes selected work from the portfolio of Urbandale, Iowa oil painter Michael Wilson. Wilson’s barn paintings are up-close, intimate and solemn, placing emphasis on how light and shadow affects the iconic architecture. Wilson’s bison paintings feature the bison at the Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge east of Des Moines and the bonnets feature historical interpreters from Living History Farms in Urbandale.
