Couple Finally Receives Wedding Photos from Urbandale Photographer After 5 Month Wait

One day after KCCI-TV aired a story on complaints customers shared on an Urbandale photo studios alleged failure to deliver wedding pictures, one couple received their photos.

A Des Moines couple who waited five months to receive their wedding photographs from a photographer told KCCI Friday they just received the photos.

KCCI.com reports that Urbandale photographer Kevin Caldwell of Keziah Weddings contacted them and sent them the photos. The TV station aired a story Thursday about the couple's complaints and inability to reach the photographer, who did not comment for the story.

Caitlin Suginaka and her husband, Alex, hired Caldwell to photograph their wedding on June 9.

"It's been over five months since our wedding and it's kind of hard to see people's photos show up on Facebook or you get thank you cards from people that have their wedding photos and we haven't seen anything for over five months," Suginaka told KCCI.

Suginaka said she paid Caldwell about $1,500 up front for the photos.

"In our minds this is the worst kind of scam artist and quite frankly just a thug who is taking advantage of people," said Chris Coleman, president of the Better Business Bureau of Des Moines, in the TV station's story.

Coleman told KCCI the Better Business Bureau has received six complaints about Caldwell.
