National Night Out

We will be having our National Night Out Crime Prevention event at the Urbandale Police Department on Tuesday August 7^th from 5 to 7pm. The last two years we have won National Awards for our event. In 2011 we had a little over 1,200 people attend out event which was a huge success. We are planning for an even bigger and better event this year. Our event includes the following groups, organizations or activities at the event itself:

 Bike rodeo with 300 bike helmets given out to kids by Ben Buenzow State Farm Agency as part of the bike rodeo with Urbandale Police bike patrol officers

Fire Safety House put on by Ben Buenzow State Farm Agency

Peddle Kart course and Big Wheel course

Urbandale Fire Department with Ambulance and Ladder truck

Free hot dogs, chips, bottle water provided by Urbandale Hy-Vee

Free ice cream sandwiches and popsicles provided by Merle Hay Mall and Gloria Dei Church

Free popcorn provided by Kaplan University Criminal Justice Club

Celebrity guest Frank Meeink (former neo-nazi and skinhead leader) and John (Jackhammer) Roby (former IBO Super Feather Weight Boxing Champion) will be on hand for photo's and autographs

Games and plenty or prizes provided by Urbandale Target Store
