Both Hostess and Twinkies were trending on Twitter all day.

When Hostess announced it would be going out of business and laying off more than 18,000 jobs, customers of the tasty treats were clearing store shelves across the United States.
According to KCCI News Channel 8, the Hostess outlet store on East University Avenue in Des Moines was advertising 50 percent off products, leaving some shelves bare before noon Friday.
The Irving, Texas, company filed for Chapter 11 protection in January.
