New Lakeview Park Shelter Dedication is Saturday
Project was completed in partnership with Iowa State University architecture students.
Months of work has ended and the city of Urbandale will dedicate its new open shelter pavillion at Lakeview park at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 4.
The shelter, which replaces one damaged in a 2010 storm, is constructed of Brazilian wood decking and has a patterned concrete floor slab.

The construction and landscaping was completed under a partnership between the city and the Iowa State University Architecture School of design, the Des Moines Register reported.
Urbandale Mayor Bob Andeweg and representatives of ISU will speak at the dedication ceremony.
