Pellet Gun Concerns Remain for Urbandale Patch Readers
Urbandale police say they can't release details.

Questions continue to swirl about a that was taken to Urbandale’s Jensen Elementary School this week by an 8-year-old student.
But an Urbandale Police official said the department can’t release any information about a pending, ongoing investigation.
“As far as how the weapon was recovered by the police and what we found out in our investigation of how it was recovered by the school is all case facts of an open investigation that we’re not going to reveal at this time,” said Urbandale Lt. Rob Johansen.

The unnamed boy took the pellet gun to school on Tuesday. His mother, Ashena Tucker, 23, of Urbandale, was arrested on a charge of interference with official acts and was released on a misdemeanor citation, police said.

A police official Tuesday told Patch that Tucker tried to hide the gun and was “hindering” police from locating it, but they eventually found it.
