Police Need Public's Help to Find Knife-Wielding Robbery Suspect
A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered in the case through Polk County Crimestoppers.

The Urbandale Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify and locate a robbery suspect who reportedly threatened a woman with a knife when she wouldn't give up her purse.
According to a release from department spokesman Randy Peterson, officers were called to the 3800 block of 64th Street on a robbery report at 6:25 p.m. June 29. The 21-year-old victim told police the suspect demanded the woman's purse, and at one point pulled out a knife. The victim refused to give him her purse and the suspect fled on foot, Officer Peterson said.
The suspect is described as a dark-colored man in his mid-teens, about 5’6” to 5’8” tall and weighing 150 to 165 pounds. He was last seen wearing baby blue colored, which the victim described as North Carolina blue, shiny athletic shorts, along with a black T-shirt and solid black Reebok high-top shoes.

If a tip leads to an arrest, the tipster may receive an award of up to $1,000.
